Life Can Feel Like A Raging Storm

I have come to view therapy as a powerful process of change, self discovery and healing where lessons can be learned, strengths can emerge, and deep truths honored. I have witnessed time and time again the innate drive towards growth and change that is the human spirit. I am an eternal optimist who offers my patients the respect, genuine warmth and caring within a pleasant, safe and nurturing environment that they deserve and that promotes self-expression, personal growth and self-discovery.

My approach to psychotherapy is strength based and I work collaboratively with my patients, synthesizing treatment techniques in order to best meet each person's unique treatment goals. It is my goal to meet my clients warmly where they are and offer empathic, and pragmatic support and when needed, direction and guidance.

I am an interested active listener and I offer reflection, feedback and understanding in a nonjudgmental manner so that we can explore the possibilities for change that reside in all of us. I work cooperatively with my patients to develop their goals through critical thinking and problem solving.

I am a solution focused therapist and I work with people to help them solve challenges associated with anxiety, depression, mental illness, divorce/separation, sexual and gender differences, chronic illness and life transitions.

My individualized approach integrates training in psychodynamic therapy, family therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and insomnia focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
